Welcome to the White Hart at Fyfield –where you can enjoy outstanding fresh local food, served by friendly knowledgeable staff, in charming and historic surroundings.
The White Hart is an historic 15th century former Chantry House – now a beautiful country pub and restaurant – set in the picturesque village of Fyfield, just 7 miles from Oxford city centre. The setting is stunning, from the soaring eaves of the great hall and the minstrel’s gallery, to the bar with roaring log fire in the winter and the terrace, full of aromatic herb gardens in the summer.
A warm and friendly welcome awaits all our guests – whether having a quick lunch, a full three courses or simply enjoying a glass of fine wine or pint of well-kept real ale at the bar.
“It is a rare treat to find somewhere that serves such good food yet still retains
it’s role as the village local!” Mr R. Sandford, Frilford
Since arriving at the White Hart in September 2005, Mark and Kay Chandler have brought about dramatic changes. They are hands on in every way (Kay runs front of house, while Mark heads up the kitchen team) and share their passion and enthusiasm with their team of staff, who are first class.
A word from Mark and Kay
“We have created the sort of experience that we like when we go out to eat – quite simply this is superb food which makes the most of local produce, served by friendly welcoming staff in a beautiful and relaxed setting. It is our personal touch and passion for what we do, which makes dinner or even a drink with us an exceptional experience.”
