ABOUT US
The White Hart in Fyfield is a village pub and restaurant that puts great food and hospitality at its heart. Described as a “foodies' paradise” by the Oxford Times, it's a hub for both locals and visitors to gather, feast and relax.
Since arriving at the White Hart in 2005, Mark and Kay Chandler have restored this beautiful hostelry to its 15th century former glory. From the vaulted ceiling to the flagstone floors, the unique space is steeped in history. As a family-run business, everything here is done with care, thought and passion. The growing list of awards and accolades is testament to this.
“Mark and I fell in love with the White Hart when we first saw it and we are still passionate about what we do 14 years on", explains Kay. "We are proud to be independent and support our community. We love the fact we grow our own produce and prepare everything fresh. We love that we make people happy. Quite simply, we have created the sort of experience that we like when we go out to eat!”
FROM OUR CUSTOMERS
Kay and Mark are to be commended on an all-round excellent operation at the White Hart. Food, service, venue and ambience get top marks, so they are definitely doing the right things. And the place was packed, so I am not the only one who thinks that!

Top Level Cooking. We recently had the most amazing meal here. The set lunch is excellent value and the cooking and presentation is worthy of a Michelin star.... It's certainly one of the best gastro pubs I've ever eaten at. Well worth a visit.
