We are passionate about quality and only prepare the very best food, sourced mainly from local farms, suppliers and our lovingly tended kitchen gardens. This ensures food is fresh, seasonal and keeps our carbon footprint low.

As a family-owned restaurant, we are proud to hold two rosettes for culinary excellence for 14 years running. Delicious food and expert service are at the heart of our ethos. Join us for a relaxed lunch, fine dining or simply unwind with a glass of wine and some bar snacks. 


Creative fine dining, expertly prepared

Our chef Mark and his highly skilled team prepare all of the dishes on the premises everyday, including bread, pasta, ice creams and even the horseradish sauce for Sunday roasts. Our dishes delight the eyes and excite the palate, so savour every morsel!

We are passionate about provenance. Our kitchen garden provides wonderful produce picked just hours before arriving on your plate. While local woodlands and hedgerows offer seasonal delights, from wild garlic and mushrooms, to blackberries and elderflowers.


Handpicked wines

We take pride in a varied and innovative wine list, with plenty of independent, small vineyards. Every wine is personally selected and tasted by Kay and the team, so we know what will compliment your food. Try one of our 'Wines of the Month' by the glass or choose from over 60 wines on the list. From fine wines to easy drinking wines, there is something for everyone’s taste and budget.


We are a genuine free house and stock a range of cask-conditioned real ales from independent breweries. We always have a local Loose Cannon brew on but the other real ales change every time a barrel is finished, so there is always a different beer to try! We take great pride in our cellar and the quality of our ales; CAMRA thinks we are doing a great job too.


Seasonal specialities

We offer a range of seasonal cocktails and grow lots of our own garnishes. From classic to creative, we are sure to have something you will love to drink. We also have a fantastic range of non alcoholic cocktails for the drivers! Join us for our special Friday Happy Hour.
