WE ARE OPEN!
Only outdoor dining is allowed from 12 April to 16 May - but al fresco dining has never looked so good! We have added two more covered areas to our main Orangery and have lots of heaters and blankets to keep you toasty. We are serving our full a la carte menus AND have opened our wood-fired pizza kitchen early this year. We are very busy, so please book in advance for food. Bookings are now open.
We also have lots of tables available if you fancy popping in just for a drink.
What an emotional roller coaster the last year has been - from lockdowns and tiers to changing guidelines, the one thing that has been clear is the amazing support and encouragement we have had from you, our customers and friends. So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts - you are the very best!
Since re-opening, we have operated above and beyond the government guidelines and have stood out as one of the safest places to enjoy a meal out. Located in the pretty village of Fyfield, the lovingly restored 15th century hostelry is an unforgettable setting - whether you dine inside or in our garden, where our terrace pergolas provide a relaxed setting for food and drinks.
Our passion is to create the best in Modern British Dining sourced from local suppliers and our kitchen gardens. This ensures food is fresh and keeps our carbon footprint low.
The White Hart has held two rosettes for culinary excellence for fifteen years running and the quality of ingredients is at the heart of our ethos.
Mark and his highly skilled team of chefs prepare all of the dishes fresh on the premises everyday, including bread, pasta, ice cream and even the horseradish sauce for Sunday roasts. We aim to delight the eyes and excite the palate with delicious food.
Our new outdoor wood-fired kitchen, provides more informal dining in a chilled and relaxed setting, to enjoy artisan pizzas and a drink or two.

Owing to our unique layout, we cater for a variety of functions, from intimate dinner parties to weddings, larger celebrations, wakes and business meetings. Our pizza oven is also available to hire for private functions.

Since arriving at the White Hart in 2005, Mark and Kay Chandler have restored this beautiful hostelry to its 15th century former glory. The space is steeped in history, yet a modern, informal vibe prevails. As a family-run business, everything here is done with care, thought and passion.

We are passionate about provenance. Our kitchen garden provides wonderful produce picked just hours before arriving on your plate. Local woodlands and hedgerows also offer seasonal delights, from wild garlic and mushrooms, to blackberries and elderflowers.
